Taking flight: optimization in the airline industry

The Challenge

In this project, partners are applying machine learning and optimization to the value chain in order to predict passenger no-shows, revenue, and competitor behaviour. This will ultimately deliver an enriched information feed and a better prediction of consumer demand.

“The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) will provide additional information about our operations and Canadian supply chain. These two ongoing projects will allow us to introduce AI capabilities that will enhance passenger-demand forecasting and cargo operations.”
