AI-Driven Knowledge Retrieval & Compliance Solution
The Challenge
Fragmented knowledge systems remain a major barrier to effective care delivery in healthcare, with many professionals relying on colleagues or outdated files to access vital information. This project introduces an AI-powered platform designed to centralize, streamline, and speed up access to institutional knowledge, policies, and compliance frameworks. Using a fine-tuned Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach, the Knowledge Retrieval module allows both patients and healthcare staff to interact with complex, multi-modal content through a conversational interface, retrieving real-time, policy-based answers to clinical or administrative questions. A second module applies a graph-based AI system to detect inconsistencies in policy and compliance materials, flagging conflicts and suggesting revisions. By improving knowledge access, reducing redundancy, and supporting proactive compliance management, the solution advances care quality, reduces administrative burden, and empowers healthcare organizations to operate more efficiently. This project shows how AI can bring structure and clarity to the overwhelming volume of healthcare policies - not as a co-pilot sitting beside the user, but as a built-in intelligence layer that governs how information is accessed, validated, and acted upon. It improves access to accurate information, reduces compliance risk, and enhances care delivery for patients and providers.
