Call for Applications : Canada’s AI and Tech Delegation to VivaTech 2026

Following the remarkable success of the Canadian mission at VivaTech 2025 and the strategic partnerships that emerged from it, Scale AI is proud to announce that Canada will return to VivaTech from June 17 to 20, 2026, to showcase the very best of Canadian AI and technology on the international stage.

This renewed commitment reflects the strength of Canada’s technology and artificial intelligence ecosystem, as well as the determination of our organizations to further establish their presence globally. Building on the collaborations initiated during the previous mission, this new delegation aims to multiply strategic partnerships, accelerate business development, and shine a spotlight on Canadian innovation across Europe.

For a third consecutive year, Scale AI, Canada’s artificial intelligence cluster, will coordinate the Canadian presence at VivaTech 2026.

Call for Applications – Canadian Delegation to VivaTech 2026

This call for applications is open to organizations headquartered in Canada, from coast to coast, that wish to join a delegation of approximately 100 companies and organizations to represent Canadian expertise in technology and artificial intelligence at VivaTech 2026.

Participating in the Canadian mission offers a concrete opportunity to:

  • Position your organization in the European market;
  • Strengthen business relationships with international partners;
  • Build new connections with global industry leaders, investors, and major corporate buyers;
  • Increase your visibility at Europe’s largest technology event.

Benefits for Selected Organizations

Selected companies and organizations will benefit from structured support before, during, and after VivaTech 2026, including several tangible advantages:

  • Dedicated booth within the Canada Pavilion: Each selected organization will be allocated a space for half a day within the Canada Pavilion at VivaTech.
  • Event passes: Each selected organization will be able to purchase passes granting access to all four days of the event through Scale AI.
  • Speaking opportunities: Delegates will have the opportunity to pitch their solution on the Canada Pavilion pitch stage and may benefit from additional speaking opportunities throughout the week.
  • Exclusive meetings: Delegates may be selected to take part in targeted meetings with industry leaders, representatives from local and international governments, and major European corporations.
  • B2B connections: Each organization will be able to maximize its on-site presence through interactions with trade commissioners, investors, and AI experts.
  • Media visibility and organizational exposure: Delegates will benefit from visibility opportunities with Canadian and international media present at the event, as well as significant exposure within the Scale AI community (social media, website, press releases, etc.).
  • Access to exclusive events: Delegates may participate in exclusive events organized by mission partners and organizers during and/or alongside VivaTech.
  • Logistical support: Pre-mission support including access to preferred hotel rates and promotional airfare codes (subject to availability), participation in strategic preparation sessions, connections with government partners, and the creation of a personalized schedule.
  • Access to the official delegation app: Delegates will have access to the delegation’s official app to maximize their presence in Paris and accelerate the achievement of their business objectives.

Applications are open from January 26 to March 6, 2026. Selected organizations will be contacted in spring 2026.

Selection Criteria – VivaTech 2026

As part of VivaTech 2026, Scale AI will lead a Canadian AI and technology delegation to showcase concrete, real-world AI solutions on the global stage at Europe’s largest technology event.

The delegation aims to highlight solutions that are commercialized or ready for commercialization, combining impact and innovation. The objective is not to present abstract technological approaches, but proven AI solutions that have demonstrated their value.

The 100 selected companies and organizations will be expected to demonstrate clarity, conciseness, and precision in describing their solution, use cases, and business benefits. Priority will be given to demonstrable solutions already used by clients or deployed in real-world contexts, as well as to organizations with a clear plan to support international expansion.

The selection will reflect the diversity of Canadian expertise in AI and technology and will be based on the evaluation of the following criteria:

1. Organization and maturity
  • Size and structure of the organization (employees, revenue)
  • Organizational capacity and operational maturity
  • Geographic distribution and representation of Canada’s diversity
  • Clear organizational structure and dedicated points of contact
2. Profile and contribution to the ecosystem
  • Relevance within the AI and technology ecosystem
  • Ability to communicate the solution clearly and concisely
  • Type of organization (startup, SME, established company, research center, support organization)
  • Nature of activities and offering (software, SaaS, hardware, hybrid solutions, services)
3. International ambition
  • Current international presence or a realistic strategy for global expansion
  • Understanding of the European market and its opportunities
  • Internal resources dedicated to international business development
  • Financial capacity to support internationalization efforts over the next 12 months
4. Participation and engagement at VivaTech 2026
  • Availability of representatives from June 17 to 20, 2026, to attend VivaTech in Paris
  • Mobilization of the necessary resources for active participation
  • Maturity and relevance of the product or service being presented
  • Clear, measurable business objectives linked to participation
  • Commitment to contributing to the visibility and leadership of Canada in AI and technology

Selection Process

All applications will be reviewed based on the criteria outlined above. The objective is to assemble a coherent and diverse delegation that is aligned with the strategic priorities of both the mission and Canada.

Participation Terms and Conditions

Participation in the Canadian delegation to VivaTech 2026 is subject to selection by Scale AI. By submitting an application, the organization acknowledges that it has reviewed the participation terms and conditions and agrees, if selected, to pay a participation fee of $500 per participant to confirm its participation in the Canadian delegation to VivaTech 2026.

This fee is intended to cover a portion of the costs associated with the organization, coordination, and support of the mission.

Information Sessions

Two virtual information sessions will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, to answer your questions regarding the Canadian mission to VivaTech 2026. These sessions will provide clarity on the mission’s objectives, expectations for participating organizations, the selection process, and participation terms.

The French session will take place at 1:30 PM, followed by the English session at 2:30 PM.
