Generative AI Assistance for In-Store Operations Optimization
The Challenge
Canac-Marquis Grenier, a Quebec-based hardware and building materials retailer, is aiming to improve the efficiency of its in-store operations. This project focuses on helping in-store employees work faster and more accurately by integrating a generative AI solution into Canac-Marquis Grenier’s internal platform. Faced with seasonal staff turnover and complex systems like SAP, the company wants to simplify everyday operations such as inventory adjustments, product returns, and deliveries. In collaboration with Frontleap and HectiqAI, the solution will use conversational AI and semantic search to interpret employee questions and automate common tasks. It will connect directly with Canac’s existing systems, making tools easier to use and reducing the time it takes to serve customers. The goal is to improve employee training, reduce errors, and deliver a smoother, faster shopping experience for customers.
