Apply NowThe World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, in partnership with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and Scale AI, is inviting Canadian AI startups and SMEs to apply for the IP Management Clinic (IPMC) — a free, expert-led program designed to help Canadian AI companies use intellectual property strategically to protect their innovations, attract investment, and accelerate growth.
Canada was selected as the partner for this WIPO initiative in recognition of its global leadership in artificial intelligence. To help mobilize the country’s most promising AI companies, CIPO selected Scale AI as an ecosystem partner to support outreach and engagement efforts across Canada.

Who can apply?
Eligible companies must:
- Be a Canadian SME
- Develop or commercialize AI-powered solutions or technologies
- Demonstrate growth potential or international expansion ambitions
- Be passionate about developing a world-class IP strategy
Up to 30 companies will be chosen to participate, selected for the strength of their fit with the program criteria.
