Usage cycle prediction and anomaly detection for electric vehicle fleets

The Challenge

Cléo, a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec, has developed an AI project to optimize the electrification of commercial vehicle fleets. Thanks to a previous Scale AI funding, Cléo created a machine learning algorithm to predict duty cycles for electric school buses. The project has two use cases: firstly, to model duty cycles for various EV fleets, aiding in efficient dispatch and charging optimization; secondly, to detect anomalies in EV charging behavior, enhancing fleet reliability. These advancements aim to support the Canadian EV market’s growth and assist fleet operators in transitioning to electric vehicles, particularly in dense urban areas with diverse fleet needs.

Cleo’s AI-driven solutions are paving the way for a greener future, making the transition to electric vehicles not just a possibility but a seamless reality for fleet operators.
